Rob Claxton, Principal Researcher, BT will discuss: “Big Data for the Enterprise.” Rob’s talk will try to cut through some of the hype around big data and explain what it means in practical terms for the enterprise. He’ll talk about some of the work that has taken in place in BT’s Research and Innovation department to help the business understand this emerging technology and will discuss some of the areas that will have to be tackled to make it successful. Nilesh Mapara, Senior Sales Engineer – EMEA, Ixia Technologies Europe Ltd, will be speaking on "Big data monitoring made easy". The data fed to the analysers today is varied & sometimes overwhelming. With the help of network packet brokers, you can aggregate, duplicate & filter out unwanted data, to make sure you deliver right data to right tool at the right time. PERSONAL PROFILE – Rob Claxton Rob Claxton is a Principal Researcher working in BT’s Research and Innovation department, based at Adastral Park in Ipswich. He graduated from the University of York in 1993 with a MEng in Electronic Systems Engineering and has spent his career with BT in a variety of technology roles. In recent years Rob has led research work on Big Data, concentrating on Apache Hadoop. PERSONAL PROFILE – Nilesh Mapara Currently working as Senior Sales Engineer – EMEA with Ixia, Nilesh has 15 years of IT Experience. Specializing in designing solutions for Network Analysis, Security & Network Aggregation Switching. Trained in ITIL & CCNP, he provides a structured solution to current analysis mayhem. His strong background in network troubleshooting & deep packet analysis has proven crucial when it comes to designing analysis solutions for customers. Nilesh has experience across a varied customer base, including but not limited to: Banking, telecoms, Defence, Enterprise, MSP, Retail, Research & Development and Education, across EMEA.
