It is about having the intersection of consumer demand, the right technologies, the right services, but it is the network that brings all this together. and Pete Wilson, Senior Patent Attorney, Intellectual Property Department BT - Patents and Intellectual Property It has been estimated that intellectual property rights (IPRs) can account for more than half of the value of SMEs. Yet often there is a lack of understanding of what IPRs are generated within a business, how they can be protected and how companies can avoid infringing the IPRs of other companies. David Stokes has wide experience in the Telecommunications industry, gained in development, systems engineering, product management, strategy and marketing across all technologies. David Stokes holds a masters degrees in electronic engineering and business administration. Pete Wilson Pete Wilson began his career in BT’s R&D Laboratories before transferring to the Intellectual Property Department to train as a patent attorney. After a period in private practice, where he advised companies ranging in size from SMEs to large multi-nationals he re-joined BT. Pete Wilson is a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.
