Kate Duggan, Technology Advisor: Enterprise Europe East of England

The Enterprise Europe Network is the world’s largest business and innovation network covering 49 countries in Europe and beyond.  Kate will provide an overview of the range of free services available to regional companies, focusing specifically on how Enterprise Europe East of England can help you to forge technology, research or commercial partnerships with other European businesses and research organisations.

Kate has been involved with the Enterprise Europe Network, and its predecessor the IRC Network, for over 8 years both in the East of England and in the Midlands.  During this time she has worked with businesses across a broad range of sectors identifying prospective partners to help them improve and innovate or access new markets.

Michael Gray, C2CN Network Project Manager: Suffolk County Council

Cradle to Cradle’ (C2C) is a principle based framework that looks to guide us towards a future powered by truly renewable energy (current solar income) in which materials are constantly reused in closed loops and social, economic and environmental considerations have become truly inter-dependant. It can be applied to industry as an innovative business model in which waste can be minimised, raw materials utilisation reduced and higher quality products produced. Suffolk County Council will talk about their involvement in the ‘Cradle to Cradle Network’ (a project looking at the applicability of the C2C concept and funded primarily by the European Regional Development Fund) including the potential plans to encourage and enable companies to consider how to apply C2C here in the East of England.
