Another ICT company has recently moved into Innovation Martlesham at Adastral Park.
Company: Stoke, Inc.
Headquarters: Santa Clara, CA, USA
Mission: Profitable Growth for Mobile Broadband Operators
Products: Mobile Broadband Gateway Solutions
Stoke creates transformative mobile broadband gateway solutions that help operators improve the business value of their subscriber services by improving mobile broadband performance and end user experience.
The company offer solutions to secure the IP layer for access and edge networks whether wired or wireless. Our products are carrier-grade and include service provider Wi-Fi, LTE macro and Small Cell aggregation solutions. An active participant in industry forums such as the Wi-Fi Alliance and the Small Cell Forum, Stoke works with operators worldwide to create, test and deploy breakthrough solutions addressing contemporary broadband service requirements.
Stoke is currently the global market share leader in deployed secure LTE aggregation gateways.
Earlier this year, Stoke and BT’s Advanced Research Mobility Team concluded successful lab trials examining different architectural strategies for LTE deployment. Stoke’s Security eXchange platform acted as the anchor device to investigate aspects of scalability, security, and multi-tenant network sharing scenarios.
A pioneer in Wi-Fi offload and interworking solutions, Stoke recently unveiled a new Clientless Interworking feature for its Wi-Fi eXchange™ gateway that allows operators securely and automatically to authenticate Wi-Fi subscribers and link them to their mobile network services, without the need for software installation or hardware upgrades on mobile devices. The solution is currently in operator trials in North America, Asia, and Europe.
Stoke is a privately held company backed by prominent venture capital firms and carrier customers. In July 2012 Samsung Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Samsung Group, made a strategic investment in Stoke to consolidate the relationship and LTE technology synergies of the two companies.
Stoke CTO, Dave Williams, said, “Adastral Park is world renowned as a Centre of excellence for research, development and delivery for BT Group worldwide and it brings together the ecosystem of industry leading companies. Being close to strategic customers such as BT and O2/Telefonica, as well as potential partners, is of great importance to Stoke. Our presence at Innovation Martlesham reflects our commitment to them and enables a productive exchange of ideas and information.”
