Real Time Content Launches Personalised Video Billing and Statement Solution

April 7, 2014

Former BT corporate technology spin-out Real Time Content, Inc. (RTC), a world leader in personalised and interactive online video experiences, has launched a unique, interactive video billing and statement solution for service providers in industries ranging from insurance to financial services to healthcare. The company is based at Innovation Martlesham, an established high-tech cluster of ICT companies located at Adastral Park.

The innovative, high-tech solution creates personalised video content in real time and uses viewer data to ensure the most relevant information is presented. Users see the content that is most applicable to them. RTC’s software also provides clients with an analytics dashboard they can use to track, measure, and analyse user interactions. Data based on viewing activity allows companies to better understand their customers and improve the experience over time.

Security First Insurance, a Florida-based homeowner’s insurance company, partnered with RTC in September to create an interactive, animated video for policyholders to highlight important coverage and insurance information. See a sample policyholder video at

Ian Cameron, Managing Director of Real Time Content, said, “Our technology is radically different from other ‘personalised’ video companies, as it assembles video content on demand, as directed by the user. Other solutions often have to create millions of videos in advance to be ready for viewers who choose to watch. That approach is inefficient and costly and means the videos can be outdated by the time they are viewed. But with RTC’s solution, our clients can present the latest information to their customers, and because the videos are rendered in real time, our solution is significantly more cost-effective than our competitors.”

“Viewers are also able to interact with their personalised video, allowing them to focus on what is most important to them, getting further information if they require it and – crucially – they can respond to behavior-driven promotional messages or offers within the experience. The content is always on-message, and the format is highly engaging with average viewing times in excess of 6 minutes.”

Tim Whitley, MD Research & Innovation, MD Adastral Park, BT, commented: “I am pleased to see BT’s innovations being down-streamed successfully and will be following RTC’s progress with interest.”

Already in use by a number of international telco’s and financial organisations, RTC’s solutions measure user response rates, interactions and feedback in real time. Clients have seen significant benefits in improved customer satisfaction and in reduced expense. The latest personalised video billing and statements solution is suited to a broad range of service providers including financial services, media and telecommunications, utilities, retail, travel and healthcare.
