Innovation Martlesham company deploys its technology in the Pulse showcase
Mvine Limited announces the deployment of its innovation for the first time in BT Customer Showcases located at Adastral Park, the applied research campus where genuinely world-first and world-leading technologies are created.
BT Customer Showcases located in Sirius House on BT’s applied research park in Martlesham and are famous inside BT and outside with existing and potential customers.
Presenters Rob Mayhew and Shane Allum are exceptionally well rehearsed in sharing stories with audiences from the hundreds of tech innovations in their live demonstrations that enable visitors to see how the technology could be used in lots of different scenarios.
New into the Pulse Showcase is the inclusion of Mvine’s innovation in pain management.
Called MSERV, the story is about how integrated digital technology helps patients on Acute wards to self-report their pain scores, which helps clinicians in the pain team focus attention where and when it is needed and helps hospital administrators run hospitals more efficiently.
MSERV provides patients, clinicians and hospital administrators a digital approach to Acute pain management. It is the result of a 5-year research and innovation effort and it has been through clinical trials at University College London Hospital (UCLH). MSERV is currently on service evaluations in NHS England, for example at Barts Heart Centre where it is being trialled as part of their Enhanced Recovery after Cardiac Surgery (ERACS) initiative.
MSERV has been described as potentially the most important innovation in pain management since the Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) device over 25 years ago.
Frank Joshi, director at Mvine who is also director of platforms for MSERV, said: “One of the key aims of the solution is to help patients have a better experience during and after their stay in hospital which we believe will lead to patients requiring less opioid based medicine prescribed to them, particularly on their discharge from hospital.”
The BT Customer Showcases bring to life over 250 different demos in different environments and are incredibly popular, attracting visitors ranging from school children to chief executives – and even members of the Royal family – who come to learn about exciting innovations, see technology in action and understand how it will change what they do in the future.
Mvine is one of the Innovation Martlesham Companies who share the Adastral Park site at Martlesham Heath, Suffolk, alongside BT Applied Research.
