Sustainable Design-led Innovation Program (SDI) is business support program that works with SMEs on sustainable development and improvement of product, services and processes.
Sustainable Product Development
Support in developing sustainable product across the product development process.
Sustainable Opportunities has benefited from the program in receiving support in conceptualization and development of their first product for horticultural industry- Gutter Grow.
Service Innovation
Designing and enhancing customer experience while identifying innovation opportunities in resource management and stakeholder management of services.
Edible Ornamentals from Chawston has explored opportunities in increasing their sales experience to regular customers and stir online sales.
Process innovation
Designing and improving company operational processes for sustainable and efficient processes in management and manufacturing
Master Cleaning from Luton optimised the storage solution in their facilities improving workflow as well as enabling improved resources management.
This free business support program is available to the SMEs in the East of England that meet EU definition of SME until December 2013.
SME – business with <250 employees, turnover less than €50m/annum, and not a subsidiary of a larger business
