BT, one of Suffolk’s biggest employers has welcomed 70 new graduates to its global research and Innovation headquarters. BT’s Adastral Park regularly takes on graduates, as well as apprentices, across a wide range of disciplines including software design, networks, telecommunications and research and development.

Adastral Park Managing Director Dr Tim Whitley said: “Adastral Park is the home of BT’s research and innovation. Technologies developed here now underpin many of the ways we communicate, transmit data and interact with each other every day.

I’m delighted to welcome the 2016 intake of graduates, who will continue this rich history of innovation. This is all about bringing the best talent to Suffolk and to Adastral Park, because innovation is all about applying new ideas to solve real world problems and driving benefits for our customers across the globe. And to do that you need fresh ideas and fresh talent, and we have just brought in some of the best and brightest people, from across the universities of this planet, to help us with our mission.”

New BT graduate Phil Watson said: “I’m glad to be back, I came here two years ago as an internal placement, as part of my degree. I enjoyed what I did and that showed me what I wanted to do going forward. BT is a really exciting place to work, there are a lot of roles and opportunities to move around and I am really delighted to be here to start my career here.”
