14 Dec 2011, 8:00am - 9.30amInnovation Martlesham would like to invite you to an Informal Breakfast Networking Event: 14th December 2011 8:00am - 9.30am Ross Foyer, Adastral Park Professor Brendon Noble and Chris Winter will talk about the exciting first spin-out from UCS. Brendon will give an outline of the work going on in regenerative medicine at UCS and then explain how the idea for Adiposet arose. It is an interesting example of how a world class research team can spot a market opportunity rather than simply developing a technology in need of exploitation. The talk will explore a little of the technical and medical background to the company, the development of the business model - the company is as much about IT and logistics as it is about medical therapies - and the experiences locally in fund raising Adiposet represents an interesting cross over between medical technology companies and IT/Logistics business models. There are other opportunities to exploit such cross overs and the region has the skill base necessary to create such vehicles. The big question is whether we can we bring these disciplines together to make Ipswich a centre of excellence for medical-IT companies. PLACES ARE LIMITED AND ATTENDANCE IS BY REGISTRATION ONLY. Please register by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then receive an email confirmation.
