Sketchbook Games Host InternshipDecember 15, 2016
Computer games developer Sketchbook Games is hosting game design intern Hannes Penndorf Ronsten from the renowned game development school PlaygroundSquad in Falun, Sweden.
Hannes has moved to the UK for the placement, which is funded by the Swedish government’s vocational training fund. He brings with him production and game design training from industry experts like Douglas Furén who has worked on titles such as Bionic Commando.
In his new role, Hannes will be designing levels and mechanics for the game as well as helping with the production, quality assurance and social media.
Sketchbook Games are working on the award winning game Lost Words, a platformer set inside a diary that sees players moving words to solve puzzles.
Hannes commented: “I want to make games that awaken emotions and experiences in the people who play them and so am I excited to be at Sketchbook Games who focus heavily on this type of game.
I’m always looking for new ways to improve my skills and extend my knowledge, and my time here will help me achieve this.”
Sketchbook Games founder Mark Backler said ”Hannes really impressed us in his interview and we’re really happy to have him on board and working with us on Lost Words”.
Lost Words is being developed for Steam, PS4, Xbox One and mobile platforms and is currently raising SEIS investment .
