OXEMS selected as Real Business Future 50 companyDecember 18, 2012
Innovation Martlesham company – OXEMS, has been announced as one of the Real Business Future 50 companies.
OXEMS, is a technology spinout from the University of Oxford and has a revolutionary underground asset management system to help utilities locate, identify and manage their buried assets including modern plastic assets which are notoriously difficult to find once buried.
The Wonga Future 50, published by Real Business, identifies, celebrates and supports companies under four years old that are triggering change in their markets; or creating new markets.
Earlier this year, OXEMS was working in partnership with Severn Trent Water, one of the three big UK water utilities, leading to the first trial of the OXEMS System. They have also more recently finished a major road trial with Affinity Water in London.
Kevin Gooding, CEO of OXEMS said, “Through road trials with UK utilities this year, OXEMS have demonstrated that we can shift the way utilities manage street based assets to drive efficiency and deliver major benefits to the wider economic and social impact of road works. Having our solution and its benefits recognised by others is a tremendous accolade which reflects the hard work and dedication of the wider OXEMS team. The recognition that the OXEMS technology is not only world leading in its own right, but that the market solution we are offering is genuinely game changing and scalable for the global market is a great honour. We are delighted to be listed in the 2012 Real Business Future 50.”
