iExpo was organised by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). It attracted more than 50 businesses and support organisations, and more than 500 visitors, at an event hosted by BT at Adastral Park on November 20th.

Five companies from within the IM cluster – OXEMS, Silicon Safe, GlazeAlarm, Banbury Howard, BT- were showcased at the exhibition. Innovation Martlesham itself presented how it helps to support and grow new and existing businesses and to develop a high tech ICT cluster at the Park.

Silicon Safe had a really successful iExpo event with offers of support from the Chairman of the LEP, Mark Pendlington (pictured above with Silicon Safe CEO, Roger Gross), interest from investors and also from students wanting to take part in the international “Hacker Challenge.”  Silicon Safe’s technology prevents bulk theft of on-line user names and passwords and the “Challenge” gives people the chance to try to crack the solution. Silicon Safe is currently undertaking Beta trials and is open to further trialists who need to find a completely unhackable technology to protect large numbers of user names and passwords.

The GlazeAlarm team had a thoroughly productive day at the iExpo. The stand was constantly busy and were pleased to make numerous important contacts from the local region.  It was a great opportunity to showcase their product, but to also learn more about other innovations and technologies that are housed within the cluster at Adastral Park.

Ian Buxton Chair of Innovation Martlesham said, “Innovation Martlesham was very pleased to be at an event that had such a buzz about it.  We in East Anglia should be very proud of the technology companies, supporting organisations and entrepreneurs that are exhibiting here today.  I am very pleased that IM continues to grow as the heart of a successful ICT cluster for New Anglia LEP”.
