Britbots, Founded As A Growth Catalyst For British Robotics Start-ups, LaunchesMay 18, 2016
Britbots, an organisation based at Innovation Martlesham, Adastral Park, dedicated to supporting robotics start-ups by raising growth capital and finding new customers, has just launched.
Britbots has been established to act as a springboard and mouthpiece for the brilliant inventors based in the UK whose robots now are ready to start actuating in the real world. It seeks to help robotics businesses to grow by identifying field trial opportunities with early-adopter customers and also by arranging the funding needed for their expansion. Additionally Britbots is available to media organisations and governmental institutions to provide comment and insight from the perspective of the entrepreneurs who are driving this robotic revolution.
Following his lifelong fascination with robotics, Britbots is the brainchild of Dominic Keen, a veteran of the UK technology scene, having previously floated the software business that he founded on the London Stock Exchange. Dominic is an enthusiastic champion of the sector and regular bangs the drum for British robots at international gatherings. He will be speaking at the forthcoming Robobusiness Europe Conference in Odense, Denmark in early June.
Britbots is a member of the Innovation Martlesham, cluster of technology companies based at Adastral Park in Suffolk and works with businesses, media and governmental agencies all over the UK.
Dominic Keen commented, “We are very excited to have launched Britbots. The forthcoming decade looks certain to herald a golden age for British robotics with genius technologies making their way out of the lab and into all of our daily lives.”
