Suffolk Investor Club Funding Clinic
Monday 23rd April 2012
1st Floor Conference Room, Ross Building, Adastral Park
9.30am – 12noon
The biggest hurdle facing most early-stage businesses is raising finance to fund the growth of the business. There is a complex array of funding sources available, some better signposted than others, and each with a different set of objectives and decision criteria. Many businesses waste valuable time either applying for the wrong type of finance, or failing to prepare effectively for their application.
This morning clinic will describe the funding landscape from the point of view of a business seeking finance – explaining the different funding types and their implications for the business. Attendees will learn which funding sources are most appropriate for their business, and how to prepare effectively before approaching them.
The clinic is run by Keith Beacham, who leads the Suffolk Investor Club which is an angel investor network, and has a long background in funding companies as a corporate investor and a VC; and in attracting grants, loans and investment in a succession of start-ups.
This clinic is free, but space is limited, so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
